Event Details
Just in time for the holiday season, learn how to craft an Ikebana centerpiece for your table. Ikebana is the centuries-old Japanese art of sculpting with nature. The practice, which roughly translates into "making flowers come alive," uses carefully selected blossoms, greenery, and other natural elements to convey a specific feeling or emotion to the observer, just as a painting or sculpture might.
Multi-talented international artist and Ikebanist Nefertiti San Miguel from Etnia Fusion in Boston will take us on a cultural journey to learn this singular technique.
Each participant will use existing items already available around the house in combination with materials provided by Nefertiti. A list of supplies will be emailed to all registrants ahead of time.
Registration is required as space is limited and will open October 10.
For adults ages 18+.
