Event Details
Tweens and teens are invited to join us on Tuesday, April 22 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. for a Birds of Prey workshop presented by Mass Audubon.
Discover the different birds of prey that call Massachusetts home. You'll have the opportunity to handle touchable artifacts to discover the adaptations that make these birds such fierce hunters and that define this group. You'll work in small groups at inquiry-based exploration stations, investigating identification, adaptations, and the ecological role played by birds of prey. The program concludes with a live animal encounter featuring two birds of prey.
Open to ages 11-17. Please register below to reserve a spot. Attendance in the room is limited to 30 registered youth participants who will be working together in groups. Caregivers are encouraged to drop off their children for the program. If your child requires your assistance during the program, please email Teen Librarian Chris Dargelis at cdargeli@sailsinc.org so we can assist with registration.
